In 1897, Rhodesia Railways asked one of Cape Town’s top lawyers, Mr Webb, to come to Bulawayo to open the city’s first legal firm. He was soon joined by Henry Low — later knighted, and remembered today in the name of Henry Low Primary School — and in 1922 by Michael Barry, completing the partnership that still bears their names.
The firm has weathered every chapter of the country’s history, including the economic crisis of 2000–2008, emerging stronger each time. In 2006 it incorporated Ben Baron & Partners and relocated to Belmont, and since 2009 it has steadily grown its client base within Zimbabwe and internationally.
Today Webb, Low & Barry is a full-service law firm maintaining the highest professional standards across all areas of Zimbabwean law.
